Tebori

I was in the studio yesterday (Sunday) when a girl named Vanessa (in English) from Bejing dropped in to see if she could get a tattoo. She was only in for the weekend and just wanted her name in Kanji (please excuse the Japanese terms for the Chinese ideas). It's been a while since I did a Chinese sign, however I have a soft spot for them. Learning to tattoo in the 90's there was alot of people wanting kanji and to make the most of the process for them (spiritually) and myself (technically) I took the opportunity to practice myTebori (hand tattooing). So I actually owe alot of my experiance in hand tattooing to those little signs that many tattooists think that they are too good to do :-)

Vanessa's friend Morten Skovgaard was along and took some wonderful photos to capture the event.

Thanks to Morten and Vanessa for bringing me back to my roots and what tattooing is all about... no matter how small :-)
