The Brighton Convention has always been a highlight of our year. Held right on the shore front and just around the corner from The Lanes there is always something to do both in and outside the Convention. This year was extra special as Alex Binnie from "Into You" took the initiative to hold a release party for Charles Boday's new Handpoke Tattoo book on the Thursday before the convention... with all the (un)usual suspects in attendance
And a special thanks to Woody for arranging a special Traditional area for Brent McCown, myself, Charles Boday with and Jimmy Scruse
The Brighton Center situated next to the convention also was holding a Model Convention with everything from working scale model steam engines, lego, mechano, RC vehicles... everthing you could think of in scale reproductions
Tattoo Meltdown in Trollhätten the weekend after was no less fun. Although the location houses about a tenth of Brighton's it is an extremely intimate and cozy family friendly convention with an always high quality of artists attending.
Thanks to Mardo and crew for a fantastic weekend as well as Alex and Demon for the award for "Best Ornamental"
