Skin & Bone is a combination gallery and tattoo studio. The gallery will exhibit art and ethnographic handicrafts related to tattooing, while the studio will have Colin Dale tattooing alongside various guest artists throughout the year. Through his years of travelling and tattooing around the world Colin has had the pleasure to meet and work alongside a wide range of tattoo artists and experts working in ethnographic and other specialized styles. Amongst these friends, we have hand-tattooists from Borneo, Polynesia and Japan as well as some of the world's leading artists in Blackwork and Dotwork coming to visit. Check the homepage http://www.skinandbone.dk/ to see some of the work

Artistic Process: Haida and Nordic God Tattoos

Been working mostly on projects between road trips... slow progress but great results

Enjoy!

Continued the quadruple dragons battling Thor from the "Blood Gods" series on JD from Holland.
Two dragons down... two to go

Added a little dotwork to extend the wings (not my work) on Moshe from the USA and may add a tail in the future
Haida Mountan Goat and Dogfish on each side and Eagle and Heron heads above the wings
All tattooed by hand

Continued on the Haida Thunderbird project on a Danish Fireman
Still need to add the wings on the shoulder/bicep
Will be continuing this at the Viking Markets this Summer

Thor fighting the Midgaards Serpent... another of the "Blood Gods" series on a Danish soldier who had to have the tattoo covered by shorts.
Did Thor in a three quarter pose which was fun, but frustrating
Freehand

"You cannot pass!"
Heimdal from the "Blood Gods" series holding the Fenris Wolf and Midgaards Serpent at bay.
Inspired by the Gosforth Cross

And finally...
Yggdrasil, the World Tree with Odin's Mask hanging in the branches framed by the deer, Dain, Dvalin, Dunør and Duratro. While Nidhögg gnaws at the roots below.
Two visits... all done :-)
